Retail Shop - Return & Refund Policy

We want you to love what you ordered from New York Is My Happy Place. But if something isn’t quite right, here’s how our return process works — clear, fair, and easy to follow.

30-Day Return Window

You’ve got 30 days from the day your order arrives to request a return. After that, we can’t accept it — so don’t snooze on this!

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return:

  • Your item must be in the same condition you received it — unworn, unused, with tags still on, and in original packaging.

  • You’ll need your receipt or proof of purchase.

No worries — if your return meets these conditions, we’ll get you squared away.

How to Start a Return

Shoot us an email at hello@nyismyhappyplace.com to start your return. If your request is approved, we’ll send:

  • A return shipping label

  • Easy instructions on how & where to send your return

Important: Packages sent back without first contacting us won’t be accepted — so drop us a line first!

Damages & Issues

Please take a peek at your order once it arrives. If something is:

  • damaged,

  • defective, or

  • not what you ordered,

email us right away at hello@nyismyhappyplace.com. We’ll evaluate and make it right — quick and fair.

Items That Can’t Be Returned

Some things we can’t accept back:

  • Custom or personalized items (special orders)

  • Sale items

  • Gift cards

can’t be returned or refunded.

If you’re unsure about your item, just ask us — we’re happy to help!

Exchanges

Looking for something else instead? The fastest way is to:

  1. Return your current item (per the steps above), and then

  2. Place a new order for what you want.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll let you know if it’s approved. If approved, we’ll automatically refund the original payment method.
Heads up: it can take a bit for your bank or card issuer to post the refund — sometimes a few business days.
